Individual Therapy
Individual therapy starts with a thorough intake where I learn about who you are and what contributed to you reaching out. I will ask about your personal and family history as it relates to the issues you want to address. Together, working as a team, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, identify your strengths and areas for growth, and develop goals for your treatment. Therapy with me will consist of a supportive relationship where I take a holistic approach to your healing and recovery. I often utilize mindfulness practices in session and assign homework between sessions. Most people find that meeting weekly or biweekly is most helpful in making progress toward their goals. Many people experience improvements in 6-8 weeks, while others may need to engage in therapy for 6-12 months or more. One of my goals for therapy is to get you to a place where you no longer need therapy!
